Privacy Policy

Get Signed is run by Get Signed LLC, 45 Main St STE 240 #657591, Brooklyn, NY 11201, United States. We decide how your personal information is used on Get Signed (under European and UK law, we are the “controller”). Questions and requests go to support@get-signed.com.

Your account

Your email address and password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form), whether you are an artist or a label, your legal name (artists) or your contact person's name (labels), your confirmation that you are 18 or older and, for labels, your acceptance of the code of conduct.

Your profile

Artist or label name, handle, photo or logo, bio or description, country and city, genres, website and social and streaming links. For labels, also your verification status, your listen rate and your average rating.

Your tracks

The audio files and artwork you upload, the details you enter (title, genre, BPM, key, pitch, credits, featured artists) and your confirmations that a track is yours, unreleased and not made with AI, with the time you gave them.

What you do on Get Signed

Where you sent your tracks and the credits you spent, which labels listened or passed, conversations and messages, Signed and Not Signed records, ratings you give, reports, blocks and support requests, and when you last used Get Signed.

Label checks

To verify a label, we look at public information: its website, social profiles and store pages, and anything it sends us.

Payments

Paddle handles payments. We receive your plan, its status and renewal date, and the amounts and references of your payments. We never see your card details.

Technical information

A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, your light or dark theme saved in your browser, simple page-visit counts that use no cookies, and the IP address and browser details our hosting providers log for security.

We use your information only to run Get Signed:

• To provide the service you signed up for: your account and profile, storing and streaming your tracks, submissions and credits, conversations and the emails that go with them.
• To keep Get Signed safe: verifying labels, preventing scams and requests for money, handling reports, and protecting accounts and systems.
• To understand how Get Signed is used: page-visit counts and totals such as how many tracks were signed, never profiles of individual people for advertising.
• To meet legal duties: tax and accounting records, copyright notices and lawful requests from authorities.

Under European and UK law, the legal bases for these are, in order: our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a safe and working platform, our legitimate interest in improving it, and our legal obligations.

We send emails about your account and activity on Get Signed, and you can turn each kind of notification off in your settings. We don't send advertising.

• Signed-in artists and labels see your profile. Visitors without an account see no profiles, only a track you share by link, with its artwork and your artist name.
• Labels see the tracks you send them or put in a genre pool, with your profile. Once a track is signed, only the label that signed it still sees it.
• Artists see which labels listened to or passed on their tracks, and the people in a conversation see its messages.
• Nobody but us sees your legal name or your label's contact person's name. Ratings are anonymous to the label rated.

We don't sell your information or share it for advertising.

These providers handle information for us, only to run their part of Get Signed, and store it in the United States:

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage;
• Vercel: hosting the website and counting page visits;
• Fly.io: converting uploaded audio into the streaming copy;
• Resend: delivering our emails.

Paddle sells Artist Pro and credit packs as the Merchant of Record, so it handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

If you live in Europe or the UK, your information is transferred to the United States. We rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where a provider is certified, and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission otherwise.

We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information and your files; copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment records, which Paddle holds.

• Get a copy: Download my data in your settings gives you your profile, tracks, messages and plan history.
• Correct it: edit your profile and settings at any time.
• Delete it: delete your account in your settings.
• Ask us to stop or pause: you can ask us to stop using your information to keep Get Signed safe or to count page visits, and we will, unless we have a strong reason to carry on, such as preventing a scam, which we will explain. You can also ask us to pause using it while you dispute something about it.

For anything else, or if something doesn't work, email support@get-signed.com. We reply within one month. If you live in Europe or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Get Signed uses one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in, which it can't work without. Your theme choice is saved in your browser, and page visits are counted without cookies. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or decline.

Original audio files are never sent to any browser: labels stream a copy through links that expire within minutes. Every table in our database has access rules, so each account reaches only what it is allowed to see. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Get Signed is for people aged 18 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top, and we email you before a change that matters to you applies. The Terms of Service explain how changes work.
